Description

A Cabernet Sauvignon unique and excellent in the heart of Salento, a project for agricultural recovery and regeneration through the selection of “terroirs” particularly suited to viticulture. The vineyards of Tenuta Liliana, in the “terroir” selected by the French Pierre Marie Guillaime, world leader in the vine rootstock market, and by oenologist Andrea Fattizzo, rise up to two hundred metres above sea level, strongly rooted in a land of ancient rural tradition, and facing the world.

Sharing is the cornerstone of the project, launched in 2015, and has already involved partners and importers around the world.

Tenuta Liliana is today a share company of 10 Partners, from the USA, UK and Italy, who are supporting the entrepreneur Antonio Intiglietta in this project that contributes to the Salento’s regeneration.

Within the year, the company will see the entry of an additional 16 new partner shareholders from:

  • USA (Florida, California, New York)
  • Europe (Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark)
  • Asia (Philippines)
  • Italy

The first 7,000 bottles were produced in 2021 and, while still maturing, have already verified the excellence of the wine. From 2025, production will be limited to 75,000 bottles per year. These will be joined by around 4,000 bottles of an Orange Wine, unique in style and taste on the Salento scene.

Why invest

Tradition and innovation: alongside the tradition of producing Salento wines, the company makes the most of technology. In fact, two of its vineyards are already equipped with the Agri system, which can signal the onset of climatic and environmental conditions favourable to the proliferation of pests (the aim is to equip 100% of the vineyards with this tool by the end of 2022). A system that uses environmental sensors to precisely measure the water supply to the plants, thus aiming for significant water savings. This system facilitates the organic cultivation system present from the first year.

A unique area in the world. Tenuta Liliana offers you the chance to invest in the project of regenerating a land that is a reference point for international tourism, rich in history and potential for excellent agriculture.

Salento, a real land. The Salento subsoil with its caves inhabited 14,000 years ago is evidence of a fertile and hospitable land, home to the most renowned Italian wineries precisely for the uniqueness of its Terroir, thanks to:

  • an ideal climate for vine development, sunny and with plenty of wind
  • a land rich in micro and macro nutrients
  • production know-how from ancient origins

Exclusive benefits for Investors. Through its own resources and the collection on the Crowdfundme portal, Tenuta Liliana aims to continue the project, enhancing ancient abandoned lands and producing Ladame, Venere, Serae and Aeterno wines.

Benefits for investors:

  • Profit-sharing from 2027, with 1.000.000 euro dividend expected. Expected profitability is 18% on investment.
  • Exclusive discount reserved for investors on the en primeur sale of Tenuta wines from the 2021 vintage and private negotiations from 12 bottles upwards
  • A priority right to purchase 1,000 bottles of the limited edition Ladame 2021 wine aged in a tonneau for more than 12 months
  • Visit of Tenuta, from the vineyards to the winery and, depending on the company’s commitments, active participation in the wine production phases – wine tasting in the winery

Investors will receive a valuable gift from Tenuta as a symbolic act that represents a seal of their participation in the project. Investors will receive a quarterly Activity Report along with monitoring of the winery’s vegetative performance, also remotely.

Results achieved

From the foundation to date, 12.50 hectares of vineyards have been planted, in 4 distinct areas, each intended for the production of a specific Tenuta wine

2018 The start of the Regeneration Project

Plant in Contrada Specchia, Parabita (Lecce) for the production of Ladame wine (Cabernet Sauvignon). A unique rocky area, now home to the highest vineyard in Salento at 200 metres above sea level. Thanks to the work of technicians and professionals, it was possible to plant the vineyard after it had been cleared, thus benefiting from the unique properties that this land can impart to wine.

2019 New plants for another 8 hectares

Planting of new Cru vineyards in Contrada Lembo, Contrada Mitriano and Contrada Rischiazzi for the production of Aeterno, Serae and Veneri wines.

Extremely diverse areas, not only in their geographical location, but above all in their soil composition. Specifically, Contrada Lembo, a clay and limestone area, has been the subject of a long process of tillage. The result is an imposing vineyard among the stones rich in history of Salento.

2020 The winery, in the heart of Salento

This was the year when construction of the winery began, located in a quarry dating back to the early 1900s and which for 80 years was a quarrying centre for stone products. An extraordinary recovery that has brought back a site completely abandoned to the splendour of the early years of the twentieth century. An integral part of the winery is the underground barrel cellar: a karst cave, which will house the best vintages of the Tenuta Liliana project

2021 First official Tenuta harvest

A harvest that took place in 4 different periods, to wait for the right degree of maturation and aim at the production of a top wine. A manual harvest, carried out at the end of October, which from the selection in the vineyard of the best bunches, already the result of a very low yield, was also the subject of a meticulous choice of the best grapes in the winery.

2022 A project in continuous growth

Tenuta Liliana completed the planting of Contrada Lembo, to start the project of producing an Orange wine, and built the new planting of Contrada Pizziferro. At the same time, the target markets in Asia, America, Europe and Italy have materialized, through 5 importers specialising in the promotion of premium wines. In the same way, a network of 12 agents engaged in the sale of Tenuta Liliana wine in the Horeca channel has been formed.

A path supported by Ambassadors, leading figures in the world of culture, finance, cuisine and beyond, promoters around the world of the regeneration project launched by Tenuta Liliana. Among them:

  • Mattero Maritati, internationally renowned chef from Salento and promoter of the culture of his land all over the world, he boasts collaborations with the most prestigious restaurants in the United Kingdom (Head Chef Gordon Ramsay Restaurants).
  • Gabriele Albertini, successful entrepreneur who served as Chairman of Federmeccanica and Mayor of Milan, then as an MEP and Italian Senator. He has always loved our country, in search of the beauty and goodness he can create
  • Davide Arduini, Chairman and Founder of Different, new President of UNA – United Communication Companies. A constant support of ideas and initiatives, aimed at the best promotion of the territory.

Tenuta Liliana has started a collaboration with the Faculty of Oenology of the University of Salento for research projects and training activities and is a member of the Jonico Salentino Food Quality District. It is also actively involved, as a pilot company, in the research and development “Sustainable Regeneration” project in collaboration with: University of Bari – Polytechnic University of Bari – IAM Mediterranean Agricultural Institute – CNR Bari – Unisalento – CMCC Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change on the theme of “strategic planning for the agricultural future of Salento post Xylella. To date, a network of 750 wine lovers constantly follows the Tenuta activity, waiting to buy its wine.

Thanks multimedia tools it has been possible to establish a climate of mutual trust between the parties, customers, agents and Partners.

Use of proceeds

The capital raised will be allocated to the development of agricultural activity, through:

  1. The expansion of production with new production facilities. The aim of the company is to expand its production capacity by selecting other “terroirs” that are suited to the production of unique and excellent wines.
  1. The increase of technologies suitable for better efficiency and production effectiveness. The company has a project to develop energy efficiency in order to aim for maximum sustainability in the production of its wines. Already equipped in two of its vineyards with the Agri system, capable of signalling the onset of climatic and environmental conditions favourable to the proliferation of pests, the aim is to equip 100% of the vineyards with this tool by the end of 2022. A system that involves, through environmental sensors, a precise measurement of the water supply of plants, thus aiming at significant water savings. This system facilitates the organic farming system that has been in place since the first year.
  1. The completion of the winery to make it a meeting place for its intermediary investors, partners and members, including the creation of a green space dedicated to wine testing.
